How is the scalp different from other skin areas?
Scalp skin is thicker than facial skin, providing ample blood flow and a strong anchor for hair follicles, and it has more sebaceous glands. It also tends to have a weaker protective barrier than the rest of our skin as it is normally covered by hair fibers.
